Passionate about animals since a young age, Vanessa Beatty embarked on a career in veterinary care at 19, securing her first veterinary technician job in 2009. Over the subsequent decade, she honed her skills in routine care, emergency services, and shelter medicine.

After a decade dedicated to veterinary work, Vanessa sought a new path and decided to attend cosmetology school, drawn by a deep-rooted love for color theory and expressing creativity through hair. However, the call of working with animals remained strong. Juggling cosmetology studies, Vanessa took on a part-time dog bathing job at a local salon to satisfy her animal-loving instincts.

During this period, the realization struck—dog grooming seamlessly blended both passions. Armed with animal handling and behavior skills from the veterinary field and technical scissor expertise from cosmetology, Vanessa found her calling.

In 2022, Vanessa Beatty established Nova & Co., a pet grooming service that exclusively offers 1:1 appointments. Operating in a serene, quiet environment, Nova & Co. adheres to a fear-free philosophy, ensuring a stress-free experience for all furry clients.
